Romanian Lucian Craita had a small lion cub called Richie that lived in his courtyard. The cub spent there eighteen months and was very attached to his owner, they were inseparable.

So, to give his best friend a better life in a big cat sanctuary in South Africa, Lucian decided to pass the lion to Vier Pfoten, an international animal rights foundation which relocated Richie there.
