But those saying they are unpredictable have a point as well. I knew first hand about this horrible case, a two year old baby in the forensics office with his face ripped off. The dog he grew along with, the one he rode like a horse and their parents trust completely, attacked and killed him just a feet away from his mother. So sad and disturbing. And you can't blame the dog, they are animals and can't control their reactions the way we do. I have met very sorry pet owners. This dog is healthy, loved and diligently cared for. I HAVE met plenty of humans who might do something horrible and project their own traits on a creature who would rather protect the little ones than hurt them. Obviously the baby's guardian was less than two feet away from it and I don't think anyone would have let this happen to their child unless they were absolutely certain he or she was safe.
