When eddie Van Halen hit the music scene in the late 70′s He almost single handely changed the way elctric guitar would be played for a generation. His home made guitar incorporated a strat style body with a double humbucker pickup.

#11 Eric Claptons 61 Gibson SG “Fool” Guitar

Up at #11 is Claptons 61′ Gibson SG. This is the one you can hear on many Cream tunes including Deserali Gears. Painted by The Fool, a Dutch group of artists, Simon and Marijke.

Rounding out the top 10 is Stevie Ray Vaughans #1 Strat. This was Stevies favorite ax. Was also produced by Fender as a commemerative guitar. Said to be a mixture of strat parts (frakenstrat) altough the body is a 63. Rumored to be currently locked in a vault by brother jimmie.
